Kirby is well-practiced in Sports Therapy, Prenatal, Relaxation, and Deep Tissue Massage, along with specialized techniques like Cupping and Hydrotherapy.

Dietitian Availability


Clarissa, Registered Dietitian, has opened additional fall hours.

As a registered health professional, her care is covered by most insurance plans.



Clarissa is a primary health care provider, so no referral is required.


Physiotherapy and prenatal patients are encouraged to include dietitian care into their treatment plan to support optimal health and well-being including pain management, prenatal care, postpartum recovery, bladder symptoms, IBS or constipation, and heart and bone health.

Please note that our Physiotherapist, Jessica, is now booking for December.

New and existing physiotherapy patient are welcome to add themselves to the waitlist; instructions on how to do that are provided below, and our clinic phones are answered

Mondays 9-12; 1-3

Wednesdays 1-3

Fridays 9-12


How to Add Yourself to the Wait List for Physiotherapy


If you do not see a treatment time available that suits you, please add yourself to the clinician you would like to see on the days you are available.


You can add a Wait List Request from 2 places:

  1. The Online Booking site

    From the Online Booking site, there are 2 places where clients are prompted to add a Wait List Request:

    • Below the list of treatments

    • Under the schedule, if you're on a specific practitioner's page

  2. My Account

From the My Account page, choose Upcoming Appointments and scroll down to Wait List Requests.


Here, you can:

  • View any existing Requests

  • Use the downward-facing arrow next to existing Requests to remove them

  • Click the button to Add a Wait List Request


 

Infant Health Nurse


Tamara Strong, Registered Nurse, is onsite weekly to provide infant health support.

This is includes support for overall infant health, infant feeding, sleep, and weight/growth.


Prenatal patients are encouraged to book with Tamara to prepare for the arrival of your new infant, and fittings for breast pumps are available if desired.




 

Maritime Pelvic Physiotherapy Conference


Jessica Bergevin, Physiotherapist, hosted the 3rd annual Maritime Pelvic Physiotherapy Conference this October with Physiotherapists in attendance from all of the Atlantic provinces.


During the conference Jessica presented her doctoral research on the Prevention Value of Prenatal Physiotherapy to conference registrants as well as to the Executive Director of Clinical Care from the IWK as a special guest and priority audience.


An additional special guest who joined the conference, was Carolyn Van Dyken (pictured below with Jessica), a leading pelvic health and pain science educator, practitioner, and advocate.


In addition to professional development in clinical care, the group of 30 pelvic health Physiotherapists enjoyed an afternoon session at the local spa, SaltAir.



 

Remedia Therapeutic Pilates Group Trip to SaltAir


We are in the process of planning a group Pilates trip to SaltAir spa for late fall!

This is open to all therapeutic and intermediate Pilates class members.
