Welcome, Jenna!



We are excited to welcome Jenna Guy to the Remedia Team as our summer Kinesiologist. Jenna is working on the development of patient resources, assisting with Group Physiotherapy and leading Pilates.


In the Fall, Jenna will enter her fourth year of Kinesiology at Acadia University, where she is also a member of the Acadia Women's Volleyball Team. As a proud local of the valley, Jenna is excited to support clinic operations and contribute to the Remedia community.






Fundraising Classes


During the week of May 12-16, all proceeds from our Pilates classes were donated to the Remedia Health Fund. This included the Pilates + Nordic event held at SaltAir.

The Remedia Health Fund serves to enable access to health services for pregnant and postpartum individuals, and their infants. The goals of the fund is to prevent morbidity and promote health. ​All funds go directly to patient care.

Movement Classes


Pilates - At Remedia, our physiotherapy patients have the opportunity to participate in Pilates classes with their physiotherapist to recover from injury, manage pelvic health concerns, restore mobility, build strength, and prevent dysfunction.


Pilates classes are open to all physiotherapy patients at Remedia. New patients are welcome and required to book a physiotherapy assessment (with Jessica or Sarah) for referral into Pilates class (as per the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists standards). Movement Therapy Studio Sessions


Movement Therapy is a 60-minute session in the movement studio led by a Kinesiologist and supervised by a Physiotherapist. This session is designed for physiotherapy patients (orthopaedic and pelvic health) to practice their prescribed exercise program with supervision and feedback. Movement Therapy provides an opportunity for patients to (1) access all of Remedia's exercise and rehabilitation equipment, (2) confirm they are performing movements/exercises correctly, and (3) have the opportunity to ask questions and receive modifications for or progress their physiotherapy program. Space for up to 4 participants.

Massage Therapy


Remedia offers Registered Massage Therapy appointments with Kirby. Direct billing available for Bluecross, CanadaLife, and Telus Eclaims!
