Research Update

After a dedicated six years, our physiotherapist Jessica completed a Doctor of Science in Rehabilitation and Health Leadership from Queen's University. She defended her work on April 20 and successfully completed the program on April 30.
Her research contributes to the growing prenatal physiotherapy evidence base and offers conceptual clarity to prenatal physiotherapy while positioning a routine prenatal care model as a feasible, ethical, and impactful health system innovation. The integration of physiotherapy into routine prenatal care has the potential to improve maternal outcomes, reduce long-term disability, and promote social justice for birthing individuals.
